Objective

Advance the features and offerings of Cognitive 3D, an R/GA Ventures investment. Defining the new dimensions and metrics for interactions in Augmented and Virtual Reality. Design an analytics dashboard to support reports.

Cognitive 3D provides raw data from Augmented and Virtual Reality experiences. This data is useful for companies testing product reception such as packaging, placement and user behavior such as attention, action, spatial movement, and interaction for process completion.

From analytics to insights.

To increase the value of this R/GA Ventures investment, Cognitive 3D was transformed from being an analytics provider to an insight maker, informing business decisions with real intelligence.

Cognitive 3D provides raw data from Augmented and Virtual Reality experiences. This data is useful for companies testing product reception like packaging, placement and user behavior sProviding antion, action, spatial movement, and interaction for process completion. While being part of the "tool layer" for the edge technologies of VR and AR, Cognitive 3D already applies industries like CPG, architecture and engineering, education and corporate training. 

How to take raw data and create a create meaningful displays that a corporation or marketing manager can use? How to  discern information from by viewing insights without having to mentally process tabular data.

New metrics of success

A new feature that show the conversion of viewers across three actions.

  • Gaze rate - the people who's 'hit' the object with the center of their head mounted display or viewport

  • Fixate - the people gazes at the object for more than x seconds.

  • Engaged with - the people who interact with the object. Wether that is colliding (running into), picking up, pressing, or other system defined activity.

These are three new human computer interaction methods that each have a distinct measurable data. A new type of ratio can be made to create a new insight. This moves the world form a "conversion funnel" as an abstract series to a visible, provable Funnel for Spatial and Mental Conversion.
